Giovanna Molinari
Research Fellow - Pisa
Research interests
Giovanna’s research activity mainly involves the study and analysis of biopolymeric matter, from mechanical, thermal, morphological, and ultra-structural perspectives. Her work is specialized in the characterization and optimization of poly (lactic acid) (PLA) and related materials. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Materials and Nanotechnology, with experience in bio-MOF for wastewater treatment and microfibrillated cellulose (MFC)/PLA composite materials. Her PhD work, conducted across CNR-IPCF, IIT, and UNIPI, focused on advanced PLA characterization techniques such as TEM, XRD and TMDSC techniques. She collaborates with Dr. Maria Cristina Righetti on thermal characterization of biopolymers and related composites.
