Research interests

Roberto’s research activities mainly concern the production of silicon carbide (SiC)-based Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) by means of Microwave-assisted Chemical Vapour Infiltration (MW-CVI). His interests range from manufacturing technologies and characterisation of CMCs materials to the design and study of microwave-assisted chemical reactors for processing of high-temperature materials.
