Research interests

The research activities are focused on preparation and characterization of multifunctional targeted (lipid, polymer, mesoporous silica based) nanovectors for selective delivery of molecular or nanostructured (inorganic colloidal nanoparticles with plasmonic, magnetic, photoactive properties) therapeutic/diagnostic agents in biomedical field. Research interests concern also the study on extracellular vesicles, namely exosomes: isolation and purification (from human plasma and cell culture medium) for diagnostic purposes or manipulation for exploitation as physiological therapeutic nanovectors.
