Research interests

Since 2024, Laura started working on project “INTREPID” funded by Regione Toscana. The goal of the project is the implementation of an Intelligent management Transport System (ITS), innovative with respect to those currently used, that could optimize the traffic and minimize the noise for residents. The developed system will allow: 1-classifying vehicles by means of machine learning systems applied to images according to acoustic criteria required by END previsional models, and 2- elaborating vehicles with a traffic simulation model capable of estimate traffic flows in unmonitored sections.
