Research interests

Since 2007, Elena works on acoustic mapping and she co-authored several publications focused on road traffic noise and on the evaluation of the population exposure to the noise and on its effect on human health. Elena was involved in research programs granted by the European Union, such as EuropAID and LIFE15. Her main activities cover the acoustic noise modeling by means of dedicated softwares, the noise measurements and GIS analysis. Moreover, she is involved in project management, both in the proposals writing and in the financial management.
