I sistemi attuali, in base alle condizioni di traffico, implementano scelte di distribuzione dello stesso finalizzate ad evitare ingorghi e favorire la fluidificazione del traffico nell\u2019area urbana. Tuttavia, attualmente non sono in grado di considerare l\u2019impatto acustico sulla popolazione, ai sensi di quanto previsto dalla direttiva 49\/2002\/CE, Environmental Noise Directive (END). Il sistema sviluppato sar\u00e0 in grado di classificare i veicoli attraverso sistemi di machine learning applicati a immagini secondo il criterio acustici richiesti dai modelli previsionali della END, ed elaborarli con un modello di simulazione del traffico in grado di stimare i flussi nelle sezioni di rete non monitorate.
