The project aims to act on a broad spectrum, to introduce, in the emerging and continuously growing sector of aquaculture, innovative technologies both for marine monitoring and for routine and extraordinary maintenance in the fencing and containment networks used in the sector. The project will be divided into three specific aspects: development of bio-bands for aquaculture applications, development of a sensor for water monitoring in aquaculture, and R&D of an innovative multifunctional water monitoring buoy (JOLLY SMART BUOY).
CNR-IPCF working group, Pisa branch, will deal with the preparation and optimization of polymer-based materials for the production of innovative biodegradable cable ties in marine environments.
