The scientific activity develops both in curiosity-driven and application research
The research is devoted to the study of disperse systems (biological macromolecules, microemulsion, latex particles), “glass-forming” liquids, polymer solutions and gels, mainly by means of spectroscopic techniques (elastic, quasielastic and inelastic light scattering, time-resolved fluorescence (also anisotropy) spectroscopy, SANS, SAXS, etc…).
Recently, interest is also devoted to supramolecular chirality of aggregates constituted by achiral molecules, to the origin of homochirality, to the enantiomeric enrichment and to “symmetry breaking” phenomena.
